I'M NOT SURE WHICH PHOTO IS BEST. CAN YOU HELP?
Yes! Most of my clients know they want a pencil portrait of their subject, but that's where their certainty ends. I love the back-and-forth and plan on it! Let's review your photo choices together over email. I'll give you my opinion on which reference photo will make the best pencil portrait and why, but the decision is ultimately yours. I can tell you I love high-resolution photos with sharp details and reflections in the subject's eyes..., but I've also worked from archival images, fuzzy photos, and even a screenshot from a video! I draw more memorial portraits than anything else, and I certainly understand there isn't always the luxury of capturing the "perfect photo."
CAN YOU DRAW MY WHOLE ENTIRE FAMILY?
I love to focus on the fine details that capture the essence and emotion in your beloved subject. My portraits are usually head-and-shoulders busts, but I've drawn plenty of exceptions! (A baby in a bucket immediately springs to mind!) I've drawn as many as five subjects in a single pencil portrait and will add $100 per subject. My preference will always be to allow one or two subjects to shine!
WHAT ARE MY CHOICES AGAIN?
I draw people and pets of all ages! Babies, siblings, grandparents, cats, dogs--you name it, and I've likely drawn it! My most popular size is 11" x 14". It can be horizontal or vertical, depending on the composition and is $295 for a single subject. Each additional subject adds $100. Your finished product will fit any standard, off-the-shelf frame of the same size. (Of course, you are welcome to get custom matting and framing done if you have something special in mind.) I've drawn pencil portraits as small as 5" x 7" and as large as 18" x 24". Please contact me directly for a quote. Professionally printed reproductions are also available for $20 each. If you are outside central Ohio, I can safely package, insure, and ship your portrait via FedEx anywhere.
